PULEO, RONALD D., 79, Hastings, passed away February 3, 2025. Born August 30, 1945, in Spangler, the son of Francis and Mary (Hrubochak) Puleo. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Thomas Puleo; stepbrothers, Francis and Regis Puleo; and stepsisters, Iva and Clara Puleo. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Price) Puleo; daughter, Rhonda (George) Churella, Patton; son, Ronald (Lisa) Puleo, Coalport; and grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Churella. Also survived by sister, Janet (Ken) Weakland, Hastings; and stepsisters, Vesta Huber, Hastings and Susan (Mike) Bowser, New Paris; and very close family friend, Jim Graboski, Patton. Ronald worked many years as a coalminer at Greenwich Collieries. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Ron was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on tractors, cars and trucks. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria; and on Friday, February 7, at St. Bernard Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m., with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Brian Warchola officiating. Committal, St. Bernard Cemetery.
