Rose (Myers) Mihalow

MIHALOW, ROSE, "Rose Ella," "Sis," 83, Patton, PA, passed away June 2, 2024, peacefully at home. Born March 6, 1941, in Carrolltown, PA. Daughter of William and Rose (Lorenzen) Myers. Preceded in death by parents and siblings, George, Ike, Bob, and Hilda. Survived by loving husband, Gary Mihalow, Patton, PA;  daughter Taylor Mihalow (fiance Paul Kinne), Knoxville, TN; and brother, Leroy Myers, Saint Petersburg, FL. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she worked as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Skills of Central PA.  She also worked many years in farming and formerly for Van Heusen Shirt Company in Barnesboro, PA and Karen Dress Factory in Spangler, PA.  She enjoyed decorating cakes, making wreaths, floral arrangements, gardening, hunting, fishing, dancing, photography, and bird watching. She was an avid animal lover, especially to the many dogs she had throughout her life.  She enjoyed listening to records and the Sunday morning Polka Party.  Back in the 1980's she could be found driving her favorite car which was her blue Pontiac Trans-Am.  Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, PA 15714.  Interment, Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church Cemetery, Patton. PA.
