Rosella T. (Himmel) Campbell

CAMPBELL, ROSELLA T., 93, Carrolltown, passed away September 7, 2022, at home.  Born April 21, 1929, in E. Carroll Twp., the daughter of Clarence and Leona Ida (Farabaugh) Himmel.  Preceded in death by parents; first husband, James P. Campbell in 1971; and second husband, Severin “Mudio” Ceschini, in 1998; son, James “Bo” Campbell; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Campbell; son-in-law, Richard “Moose” Resko; sisters, Claire Marie Himmel, Dorothy (Michael) Maslonik, Grace Arney, Hilda (Clarence) Haines; brothers, Lawrence “Kise” Himmel and Robert (Gloria Jean) Himmel; and brother-in-law, Thomas McClarren.  Survived by son, David Campbell, Carrolltown; Nancy, wife of Joe D’Andrea, Carrolltown; Susan Campbell, MI; and Jean Resko, Patton; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and a nephew whom she raised, Frankie Campbell, Altoona.  Also survived by brother, Frederick (Sandra) Himmel, Carrolltown; sisters, Shirley McClarren, Latrobe;  Dolly (Harold) Weber, and sister-in-law, Bernadette Himmel, all of Carrolltown.  Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society.  Formerly employed by Ace Footwear in the 1960’s and Sylvania in the 1970’s.  She was a bus driver for the Head Start Program and later Farabaugh Bus Lines. Together with her second husband, Mario, they owned and operated the Bakerton Inn for many years. Rosella was a breast cancer survivor.  She was a loving, caring, and devoted mother and grandmother who was always present and involved in all the activities and accomplishments of her grandkids.  She loved to travel and went on many cruises with her sisters and extended family.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, and at St. Benedict Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, church cemetery.
