Roxanne L. (Abel) Pitts

PITTS, ROXANNE L., 69, Ebensburg, passed away December 7, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born February 16, 1954, in Spangler, the daughter of William and Alma (Miller) Abel.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dennis Pitts, who died in 1996.  Roxanne always felt blessed to be a twin and was very close to her twin sister, Joanne Shonsky who preceded her in death.  She is also preceded in death by infant sister, Mary Elizabeth, sister, Ellen Lester, and brother-in-law, James Magnon.  Survived by children, Kevin Pitts, and wife Megan, Ephrata, PA; Keith Pitts, and wife Ashley, Missouri City, TX; Heather McKinley, wife of Jason Mitchell and Renee McKinley, wife of Jason Peadarvis, both of Longview, TX; and grandchildren, Landen, Whitney & Clara Jo Pitts.  Sister of Dan (Carol) Abel, Audrey Magnon, Corine (Ron) Boring, Patty (Dan) Whited, and Frank (Lorri) Abel, all of Hastings.  Retired  Transit Operations Coordinator for the Maryland Transit Authority.  Family and Friends are invited to a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13th, at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Hastings.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
