Ruth Ann (Kirkpatrick) Johnson

JOHNSON, RUTH ANN, 86, Erie, PA, native of Spangler, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at the home of her son, Bobby.  Born May 23, 1938, in Spangler, the daughter of Cletus and Francis Ruth (Wayne) Kirkpatrick.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Robert Johnson Jr., who died in 2005; and siblings, Fr. Cletus Kirkpatrick, Mary Fennello, Barbara Fenchak, James Kirkpatrick, Wayne Kirkpatrick, and Lawrence “Jerry” Kirkpatrick.  She is survived by her sons, Bobby Johnson, Erie, PA; Kirk (Kim) Johnson, Texas; granddaughter, Alysia (Dan) Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Kyla, Gabe, and Phoenix, all of Saskatchewan, Canada.  Also survived by siblings, Kathy Verchick, Bernadette Byrne, Jack Kirkpatrick, and many nieces and nephews.  Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She cherished time with her family.  She fought a years-long battle with Parkinson’s Disease, MSA, and dementia and passed away peacefully hand-in-hand with her son Bobby.  “There is now no end to all the gardening you and Dad can do, Mom.” She will be deeply missed by all.
