Sharon Kay (Price) Short

SHORT, SHARON KAY, 74, Northern Cambria, passed away May 9, 2025, at Maple Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center, Ebensburg.  Born February 2, 1951, in Spangler, the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Elick) Price.  Also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cherie Ferguson, who passed December 14, 2024.  Survived by loving children, Daryl (Heather) Strittmatter, Huntingdon; Tina (Mike) Rematt, Northern Cambria; Dina Short, Salix, eleven grandchildren, Jake (Megan) Price, Dylan and Autumn Ferguson; Brittany O’Dell, Alec and Kaylynn Strittmatter, Colton Reitenbaugh; Michaela Rematt (Noah Keith) and Sonja Rematt; Morgan Price and Kasey Novella (Nate Pebley); seven great-grandchildren, Xander, Gavin, Ryker, Melody, Thea, Sebastian, Athena and one more expected.  Also survived by sister, Phyllis Pardee, Northern Cambria; and her lifelong best friend since the age of five, Nancy Rematt.  Sharon spent many years working in housekeeping most recently at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center.  Member of One Hope Church in Indiana.  She had a passion for crafting and visiting the humane society, but her greatest joy was time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed.  Honoring her wishes, there will be no visitation.  Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of all arrangements.
