Shirley A. (Polisky) Vallery

VALLERY, SHIRLEY A., 77, Elmora, passed away February 12, 2020.  Born September 18, 1942, in Spangler, the daughter of John and Teresa (Frederick) Polisky.  Preceded in death by father; loving husband, Thomas J. Vallery, who died October 31, 2018; and brother, John Polisky.  Survived by her mother; daughter, Jean Ann (Rodney) Harbrige, St. Benedict; son, Thomas J. Vallery Jr., Bakerton; and granddaughers, Lacey (John) Shingle and Heather Harbrige.  Sister of Theresa Moore, Carrolltown and Virginia (Jim) Crowell, Patton.   Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Shirley worked in her earlier years in several clothing factories and later worked as a postal clerk. Her most cherished role was that of devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She made family her priority and loved cooking and baking for them, caring for her home and gardening.  Honoring her wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, at St. Benedict Catholic Church.  Fr. Jude Brady, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, Sacred Heart Cemetery.
