Steven K. Bearer

BEARER, STEVEN K., 53, Ebensburg, passed away March 2, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.  Born May 11, 1970, in Johnstown, the son of Kenneth and Judy (Illig) Bearer, of Ebensburg.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by loving wife of 31 years, Heather (Kinney) Bearer; daughters, Kayla (Zackary) Mauk, Colver; Maranda (Brennan) McMurray, Patton; Carina (Paul) Ludwig, Nicktown; and grandsons, Bennett Mauk and Bowen McMurray, who will be joined by “baby Ludwig” expected later this year.  Brother of William “Bill” (Kristin) Bearer, Northern Cambria and Richard “Rick” (Jessica) Bearer, Ebensburg. Also survived by mother-in-law, Shirley Kinney (Joe Corio), Cherry Tree.   Employed as the Plant Manager for A.C. Power Plant in Colver for 30 years.  Steve lived his life to the fullest and understood he was blessed with a wonderful family and many loyal friends.  He made his home a place of comfort and cherished the hustle and bustle of daily life.  He was happiest at home with Heather, their daughters, sons-in-law, and grandsons.  He loved his work and spent his down time fishing.   His deep faith in God guided his life and gave him strength through his illness.  Honoring Steve’s personal request there will be no visitation or services.  Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria in charge of arrangements.
