Thelma R. Kopas

KOPAS, THELMA R., 99, Nicktown, passed away June 22, 2023, at St. Benedict Manor.  Born September 5, 1923, in Altoona, the daughter of Joseph V. and Catherine N. (Benton) Porta.  Preceded in death by parents; three siblings; first husband, William Beahan; son, Barry Beahan; second husband, Pete Kopas; and third husband, Reginald Pawlowski.  Survived by children, Cliff “Kip” Beahan, Nicktown; Joseph (Cheryl) Kopas, Pittsburgh; and Joanie Kopas, Hastings; grandchildren, Angie Carpenter, Heather Beahan, Shawnee Beahan, Abigail Beahan; and four great-grandchildren.  Thelma worked many years as a Registered Nurse at Clearfield Hospital.  Member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown, and the Altar & Rosary Society.  Honoring her wishes there will be no viewing.  A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2023, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, celebrant.  Committal, St. Nicholas Cemetery.
