Timothy "Tim" Farabaugh Obituary

FARABAUGH, TIMOTHY RONALD, 70 “Tim” “Little Pappy” Carrolltown, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026.  Born August 4, 1955, in Carrolltown, the son of Patrick H. and Mary Lou (Miller) Farabaugh.  Preceded in death by parents and siblings, Wayne, Mark, and Louis Farabaugh.  Tim was the beloved husband of JoAnn (Kirsch) Farabaugh, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.  Together they shared many cherished moments, including quiet evenings watching their favorite shows.  He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Diana Long, and her husband, Mike Long.  Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his granddaughters, Calista and Bria and his grand-dog, Chloe, especially their treasured visits and enjoying their special treats from Greenbean Coffee House.  He is also survived by his sister, Patty (Jeffery) Boley, Hollidaysburg and his brother, Allen (Rhonda) Farabaugh, Carrolltown, along with many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.  A man of faith, Tim often prayed the rosary and faithfully watched Mass.  He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  He was a devoted husband, father, little Pappy, brother, and friend whose joyful spirit and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.  Tim was a coal miner and then went on to work in the maintenance department at Admiral Peary Vo-Tech before his retirement.  Tim enjoyed the things in life that brought people together.  He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved cheering on his favorite teams.  He also enjoyed playing horseshoes at Glendale Yearound, dancing to music, sharing stories, laughing with family, and making others smile.  Above all else, Tim will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others.  He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.  Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB, Celebrant.  Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tim's memory to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Altoona.
