Travis D. Springer

SPRINGER, TRAVIS DAVID, 36, Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Carrolltown, passed away unexpectedly, July 15, 2023. Born February 22, 1987, in Johnstown, PA, the son of Michael R. and Barbara J. (Selapack) Springer, of Carrolltown. Preceded in death by grandparents, David & Helen Springer and Frederick & Jenny Selapack; and his brother, and best friend, Michael B. Springer. In addition to his parents, Travis is survived by his loving wife Angela R. (Tirabassi); twins, daughter, Monroe B. Springer, and son, Dominic M. Springer; siblings, Holly M., wife of James R. Ertter Jr., Carrolltown; Kelly M., wife of Kevin A. Kirsch, Carrolltown; Tiffany L., wife of Nathan Maurer, Carrolltown. Also survived by these nieces and nephews who enjoyed their "Uncle Trav" very much. Jayme M. and Jimmy R. Ertter III, Kenley J. and Kooper S. Kirsch, Lainey G. and Ethan M. Maurer, Avery M. Biter and Brexley M. Springer, Colton A. and Carter P. Tirabassi, Cadence E. and Damian M. Ledet. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Patrick (Sonya) Springer, GA; David (Regina) Springer, FL; Anne (Fred) McCabe, Cresson; Kimberly Springer, Ebensburg; Fred (Sharon) Selapack, NC; Karen Chopick, Johnstown; Harold (Michele) Selapack, Sidman; In-Laws, Bernie and Joannie Tirabassi, Ebensburg; sister-in-law, Leah (Mike) Ledet, NC; Brother-in-law, Dominic (Jamie) Tirabassi, Pittsburgh; and numerous cousins. Travis was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School, a certified welder, and an expert in tower communications. Travis was a doting and loving father to his twins – they, along with his wife, were the absolute light of his life. Travis and Angela were the best of friends for over 13 years. He loved his family and friends whole-heartedly and enjoyed every moment with them to the fullest. Travis was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved cooking, all genres of music, UFC fight nights with Angela, and was proud to be an American. Travis will be immensely missed. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, at St. Benedict Church, Carrolltown.  Fr. Michael Gabler, OSB celebrant. Committal, St. Benedict Cemetery.
