Walter E Marpman III

MARPMAN, WALTER E. III, 83, Northern Cambria, passed away October 13, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born January 6, 1940, in Queens, NY, the son of Walter Jr. and Rose (Tuchy) Marpman.  Preceded in death by parents; stepson, Tom Trybus; and sister, Margaret Davis.  Survived by loving wife of 27 years, Shirley (Sabo) Marpman; stepsons, Robert Trybus, LA; John (Theresa) Trybus, Virginia Beach, VA; Ronnie Scott Trybus, Northern Cambria; Jim (Christy) Trybus, Apex, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and Steve Ranney. Also survived by sister, Barbara Meyer, Sanford, FL and brother, Stephen Marpman Sr., Willmington, NC.  US Navy Veteran.  Walter retired from the Long Island Railroad after 35 years of service.  In his free time, he enjoyed working with his hands, making beautiful chain saw carvings, and spending time in his workshop where he was skilled at fixing and modifying things.  He loved being outdoors and riding his quad.  He was often seen riding throughout the neighborhood keeping watch and helping make sure things were secure.  He also liked watching movies to just relax.  He will be deeply missed.  Family and friends will be received from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where a service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, officiating.
