BLACK, WANDA M., 77, Hastings, passed away September 17, 2025, at home. Born September 19, 1947, in Spangler, the daughter of Earl and Catherine (Gower) Kline. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Charles W. Black, who died June 13, 1987; son, Thomas Black; sisters, infants, Shirley & Joan, Irene McIlwain, Elizabeth Beltowski, Helen McIlwain, Dorothy Whited, Patricia Goss, Virginia Kelly, Jeannene Visnyiczke; and brothers, Kenneth, Paul, William and Robert Kline. Survived by son, James Black, fiancée of Beverly Adams, Hastings; daughters, Lisa wife of Donald Tucker, Titusville; Tina, wife of Christopher Benamati, Hastings; Janette Black, fiancé of Daniel Singleton; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Earlene, wife of Wayne “Buck” Himes, Northern Cambria; life companion, John Downs; and special friends, Donna and Gary Reitenbach. Wanda worked all her life as a waitress and cook for many area restaurants including V&J’s, Pizza Palace, Sabella’s, Betty’s Restaurant, Palace Hotel, and Beaver St. Café. She loved people and enjoyed getting to know the families in our communities through her years of work. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friends to many. She will be deeply missed. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Patty Ferguson officiating.
