William Bott Obituary

BOTT, WILLIAM W., 90, Westover, passed away June 27, 2025, at Haida Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings.  Born January 9, 1935, in Hastings, the son of Ernest and Catherine (Greenland) Bott.  Preceded in death by parents; son, David Bott; and sister, Gail Martin.  Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Judith (Riva) Bott, Westover; children, Daniel Bott, Westover; Renee (Joe) Bergamaschi, Ashville; and Eric Bott, Westover; two grandchildren, Nathan and Amanda Bergamaschi.  Also survived by siblings, Skip Bott; Kathy Kruise; Susan Woodley; and Wanda Fisher.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  Following his service, he retired from the United States Postal Service after a career as Rural Carrier and Postmaster.  Attended Westover Baptist Church and a past member of Westover Water Authority.  He enjoyed coaching Westover Little League and was an avid fan of Pirates baseball and Penn State football.  A talented Bluegrass musician, he often played guitar at the Harmony Grange for square dances, bringing joy to many through his music.  Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Pastor Timothy Rough, officiating.  Interment, East Ridge Cemetery.
